Well I just had some advice for anyone that ever has problems with there modem.

For the past year or so sometimes my modem wouldn't connect to the internet and if you listen to it. It would make a loud crackeling noise. It seemed like it would happen for no reason and it would drive me nuts, so I just ended up figuring out what it is, in my studio I have one of those lights with the twisty knob that you use to make it brighter or dimmer. anyway whenever I have it near the center it causes interferance in anything electrical that is running and on the phone lines. So if this ever happens to you that is a good solution, I feel so relieved, Imagine probably twice a week for the past year I haven't been able to connect to the internet for some reason, and now I just figured it out :)

I had a problem also with my modem. It wouldn't connect no matter what I did until I downloaded updated drivers compatible with my modem. I have a Gateway 2000 computer with a Telepath Windows 56 K modem. So I had to go to the Gateway website and download the newest drivers to get the modem to work properly.

Something I always found funny.. some modem manufactors state on the contents "if your modem doesnt work, goto our website and download the lastest drivers". Hmm how if the modem doesnt work?

Yeah I know what you mean Robert. I had to use a friends computer to logon and download the drivers then copy them over to floppy or zip drive disk and install them onto my PC.

It was a major pain in the ---...
