phpBB 1.x is no longer supported.

Even if they were both php/mysql based, phpBB would still kick iKonboard's --- anyday.

CGI-sucks.. My friend had daily visitors 500 on his SLoooW oldman2 board (payed host)..changed to WBB and was superfast !
Another friend of my changed to phpBB2 and never looked back at CGI again.. :cool:

I disagree. If Ikonboard used PHP/MySQL, it would kick phpBB's --- anyday.

Yeah, it does look great...for an elementary schooler. If you guys HATE XP's look, how the heck can you say that you love phpBB's look? They're pretty much the same.

phpbb is much better than ikonboard. Perl/CGI is slow and uses too much system resources, but PHP and MySQL dont.

Ikonboard has a better Admin Cp. You could also have moderators on Ikonboard.

phpbb2.x is great... i didnīt like the older versions though... but the way it is today it kicks ikonboards butt easily...

BTW, I'd like to add that phpBB 2.x is better than Ikonboard only because it uses PHP/MySQL. If IBForums looks like Ikonboard, it will kick phpBB's --- big time.

You have seen the backend. Look at the admin preview. Although the look is similar to ikonboard, you can change it. The backend is excellent IMHO.

The look, it's average and maybe you're right. Alright, but I'm not prepared to spend another couple of months waiting for its release.
