using images to alter table design

On many sites you now see a much more curved look to their design, something I wouldn't think possible unless the whole thing was a graphic. (check out Http://www.confound.com for an example) I presume the do this by using images and tables together.

Could you explain to me the easiest way of doing this?

It's not coming - it's going away but apart from that you are correct. ;)
