I'm having trubble finding a host that is gonna allow lots of transfer for my 100 topic bb.

Only a pop-under is ok...but I need one that is just about fully customizable, etc.

Does a remotely hosted phpbb, openbb, or wbb exist?

Is it true remotes usually offer unlimited or at least large transfer?

A few pages included would be cool...

Would I have better luck paying $5/mo for a good one?

Any help appreciated.

Thanks :confused2

Almost ALL remote boards offer unlimited transfer. However, you're not going to find very many boards that offer a pop-under (most have pop-ups AND banners). And yes, SuddenLaunch does use YaBB. There is currently no remote host that offers phpBB, OpenBB, or WBB. MyCool offers Blazeboard, but that's about as far as you're going to get. You can try looking at the ones on my site: http://www.9cy.com/~freeboards

Or you can also try out Aimoo:
$15 for 6 months (Gold - less features, one banner ad)
$30 for 6 months (Diamond - full features, no ads)

$5/month should be plenty to get a high bandwidth host... surely you can't use 30 GB monthly transfer, for example, and myqth is only $48/year. It's always better to get a host to install it on instead of using remotely hosted, considering it's more customizable, your own ads (if you want revenue) instead of theirs, usually faster, much less danger of having the place collapse and take all your posts with it, etc.

I need 2 basic things...

1) A remotely hosted board that allows for horizontal indexing (I have 100 forums).

2) A few extra pages (optional) in case I need to make a custom index page with horizontal indexing.

Thanks :D

1. Make an index on a free webhost.
2. Use http://www.suddenlaunch.com , or any other free message boards. If you wanna web host that has PHP, Perl, and a CGI-Bin, go here: http://www.--------.com/ . They're really good, and they're cheap. $5 USD per month!

Here's a message board hosted on Sudden Launch; http://techbrandon.suddenlaunch.com/ . You have to log in to view the fourms.

I'm beginning to think that the custom index page is the only alternative.

Sudden Launch has that lame Yabb in which you can't even get rid of that news category at the top. Bad configuration.:confused2
Proboards is better although it's still Yabb.

There are even better ones out there. I saw a Ultraboard, Blazeboard, Snitz, etc.
