Well my friend is staying at my house right now and he has a piece of crap computer. It is crap and he wants me to fix it. It is:
133mhz Cyrix
49mb ram (It might be simm :( not sure)
and has a 4gig drive with about 100mb left.

This thing is so screwed up the only thing I could do to fix it is just reformat and load a new OS but I only have win2k should I try it or no?

2000 won't quite fit :)

So you will need to fix it ;)

It'll fit if he formats it. :)

That is the absolute bare minimum for running Win2k... could go veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery slowly.

I suggest you go and download Windows 3 and put that on there. :biggrin2:

I bet he could get away with the memory, there is always virtual ram, but NO MULTI TASKING, nothing could be worse than what he currently has. I almost cried when I booted it up.

Well i ran 98 on a 486, just for the hell of it, mega slow, took about 10 minutes to load up to the desktop with no programs in the task bar.

If you format the hard drive and install Windows 98 or below you may have no problems with it.

I run Windows 98 with my computer and its only a:

P2 - 233 MHZ
2 gig hard drive
32 megs RAM
24 speed CD ROM

Its not lightning fast with alot of the applications I have installed on it but, it hasn't given me any problems.
