I am having problem finding a sponsor (for banners). Last time I used mod-ship.com but they didn't pay me (bastards :angry2: ). Overture does pay but they only have search engines. So my question is if anyone knows a good sponsor (for sponsoring with banners) which do pay.

Thanks in advance.

Am I right in assuming that your user name means you are in The Netherlands? Your location would help in recommendations :)

Yes I live in the netherlands, although my site is english. My site's URL is www.emulatorworld.com.

Whilst I am not sure if emulation sites are included, Dan from dkads had a thread here which is accepting all English speaking sites.

Dan you might like to confirm or deny?

Well I'll try signing up since they are making a few exceptions right now, well that's what he said.

Hmm, I'll ask there first to make sure...

Shadow,

It is very difficult for an ad network to make money with emulation related traffic.

Have you tried joining game related cost-per-sale programs?

Once, it took me lots of time to sell stuff but after that they didn't even payed out.

If gaming related sponsors sponsor with banners and then payed-per-click I think they will make money.

Try the gaming related programs at www.cj.com at least they pay :) I have never heard of mod-ship.com

I think he meant mod-chip.com; a sponsor whose program is very popular in the mod/emu/mp3 community despite the fact that many (most?) of their affiliates claim to have never received a dime from the company.

Guess if you're desperate enough...

Shadow, the EBGames program at LinkShare, GameStop program at Reporting.net, Amazon.com in-house program, AllPosters program and the ChipsnBits affiliate program may work well for you if they accept emu sites.

Otherwise, you may have to consider running the site as a hobby and fronting the costs out of your own pocket.

Thanks for the help, I'm going to try out those sponsors. And I'm actually running the site as a hobby, it would just be nice if I would earn something with it. Well if those programs doesn't work, the I'll stick with overture and add search boxes instead of banners or something like that.
