that's a dumb and fruitless accusation

Oh, GC's gonna have a hayday with this one.
but seriously, that is a pretty pitiful claim to make.

All I can say is it just wouldn't surprise me... There is just something about this Bush character that doesn't sit right with me.. perhaps its just that he is a politician, and in that case, they are paid to lie, so he was only doing his job :)

I agree...Politics is all about lying and cheating. I'm guessing that he might ignore something as big as this because he was a pathetic president and Americans were beginning to hate him. But people always rally behind their leader in times of war, and Bush was trying to do just that.

Conker, you know nothing about Bush. He is a great President and I will damn right vote for him in 2004 because I will reach the voting age.

Also what you fools don't know is the US is threatened with thousands of security threats each day, and the FBI/CIA/NSA can't go after every single one of them.
Also this little Democrat b*tch will not be elected when Rep. elections come.
The next investigation this little democrat will start is:
Ariel Sharon is plotting terrorist attacks against the US... blahblahblah..
Some People deserved to be lynched.

Yeah. Arrested for treason.
That's real intelligent GC.
If we did things the way you wanted; America might start looking like Germany circa 1939.
All the people that are so against this, and think it's so stupid; perhaps you would like to backup your claims?
All Bush and the gang have to do is proove their innocene and everyone will be happy; that's not so hard to do is it?
But instead of dismissing it so easily, let's just think about a few things here, shall we?
Why hasn't Bush called for a full investigation into 911?
Where were America's security protocals that day?
Why has the entire post-911 response been everything the Bush administration had previously wanted to do (increased military spending, tax cuts for the rich, pipelines in afghanistan, etc.)?
Why was Osama Bin Laden instantly assumed guilty, despite NO evidence?
Where was American intelligence? How could they have broken ties so severly with groups they worked so closely with during the 80's?
Etc.
These are completely reasonable things to want to know; and it is also completely reasonable to want a government to proove that is not guilty of anything.

Now I was just kidding there. Treason is only when people sell out there country to enemies.
If we did things the way you wanted; America might start looking like Germany circa 1939.
I won't even respond to that absurd claim.
All the people that are so against this, and think it's so stupid; perhaps you would like to backup your claims?
Would you back up your damn claims? The US has to deal with thousands of security threats each year. Remember when Clinton was in power an airliner was shot down by Iranians? Well he did nothing about it.
But instead of dismissing it so easily, let's just think about a few things here, shall we?
All of these idiotic claims are dismissed as easily as if there was jewish conspiracy going on. All idiotic and stupid.
Why hasn't Bush called for a full investigation into 911?
He has.
Where were America's security protocals that day?
Look at the Clinton legacy for that answer. He ruined US security. Bush was still trying to get a bill passed before September 11th increasing military funding.
Why has the entire post-911 response been everything the Bush administration had previously wanted to do (increased military spending, tax cuts for the rich, pipelines in afghanistan, etc.)?
So?
Why was Osama Bin Laden instantly assumed guilty, despite NO evidence?
THERE IS EVIDENCE from papers, to tape recordings, etc. Back up your assumptions before saying illogical things.
Where was American intelligence? How could they have broken ties so severly with groups they worked so closely with during the 80's?
IF you are talking about Al Qaeda, it bombed two embassies, so the US did cut of ties severely. The US was supporting some groups in Afghanistan to fight the Soviets.
These are completely reasonable things to want to know; and it is also completely reasonable to want a government to proove that is not guilty of anything.
And something you won't get, because the Bush adminstration has done the same as any adminstration would in such disaster. Do you want to FDR now for ignoring warnings about the strike against Pearl Harbor? No, because there were tons of other problems, including the fact that Germany had naval movements in the Atlantic.
Why this democrat's claims are so arbtirary and stupid is because intelligence agencies do not have the man power to cover every single threat.

Oh another thing... is Janet Reno a lesbian as Rep Traficiante accuses? Probably not, and remember that Traificante is under an investigation for corruption and perjury.
If I were you I would look at the backgrounds of the people bringing up these charges against the Bush adminstration.

you may hate the democrats, but apparently the U.S. thought Clinton did a great job for the first time that they elected him president the second time. He would still be president if he could run again.

No he wouldn't. His popularity ratings were below 40%.
And the US had a massive economic slowdown during the last months of the Clinton adminstration.

Prove their innocence? Why would they need to do that? Just because a couple people come up with some absolutely crazy idea doesn't mean the government needs to waste time and money just to refute their claims.
But instead of dismissing it so easily, let's just think about a few things here, shall we?

Just read the news. Complete reviews of the security agencies has been going on. Security protocols? They were in place -- the problem is that you simply can't prevent everything. So now they are trying to come up with better plans to address what went wrong.
Why has the entire post-911 response been everything the Bush administration had previously wanted to do (increased military spending, tax cuts for the rich, pipelines in afghanistan, etc.)?
I don't think tax cuts have a lot to do with Afghanistan. It has to do with helping a struggling economy -- created by the Clinton administration.

Clinton just took office... he did nothing to cause an economic boom.
The economic slowed down remarkably in 2000 because of Clinton's outrageous tax policies.

It is a shame that the public does not know more about the FBI,CIA and NSA; They can legally violate your rights, and have you taken off the face of the planet on a whim.
I'd get into the story of NSA and Cryptography and how Clinton and Gore are partly to thank for the internet as we now know it. But that would be :topic:

It is a shame that you go around speaking false claims. I would rather read the national inquirer than read your false posts.

Ronald Reagan's Adminstration invented the Internet. Gore should have a punch in the head for even claiming that he had any part of it. And it was George H. W. Bush's team that made the internet what it is today.

Some people do because of their absolute idiocy. Right now, I want Chavez to be lynched, because he is an idiot. Venezuela doesn't deserve a crackpot dictator like him. But that is another issue.

Regean??? Wasn't it invented in the late 50's-60's (somewhere around there). Sure it wasn't Geocities-Yahoo style internet, but that was it's beginnings. I think...
And PORNO made the internet what it is today.

It was first used by the US Military in 1981... it was actually set up by the Nixon adminstration in some form... some ideas of it.

Have you heard of the clipper chip? Gore appeared on Larry King Live to talk about the "information highway"
I'm not saying that Clinton and Gore invented it, I am just saying we have them to thank for the security and encryption we have.

So around the end of Clinton's administration what did he do different in his tax policies from the beginning of his administration that would reverse the economic boom started at the begining?

The effects of ----ty tax policies won't be felt for a few years... that is a fact. If you don't think that is true I suggest you study economics for a year.

It is republicans who have pushed the US forward.
