Downloading program for my puter

I have heard remarks like "ha, you probably use IE to download still" and stuff like that, well what do you recommend I use to download stuff with.

for me, i dont like those accelerator progs unless you buy them (the ads slow down ur 56k a little), but for small downloads, i d/l with IE because it has no ads and if the download is big i use cuteftp pro 2 so i can stop it if i have to do something else...

I usually use IE, but as an alternative you could use Opera6 or NetAnts.

I've never had a problem using IE to download stuff, although Mozilla is a bit better.

IE works fine, and I prefer it over any other stuff that download files.

I just downloaded mozilla and I did not like it at all I don't see what is so great about it, other than it has some advanced features. There is nothing else that I liked so I guess I will just stick with IE

I was the one who said "You're probably download with IE" because you said you were downloading at 11kb/s on a 56k modem. (or was that someone else?)

Anyway, the speeds IE gives you are exagerated and you should never treat them seriously. So don't go saying your downloads are at 11kb/s.
