I've just upgraded vBulletin to version 1.1.5. It looks like everything is working. Let me know if there are any problems.
Thanks.

YEA Peo!!
And think... in another couple weeks... you'll be upgrading to 2.0 and have something 500% better than 1.15.
There's not very many bugs in 1.15 for you to worry about. But you'll notice a greater speed and its easier on your database as well as your server! :)

Does upgrading vBulletin cost money? Or is it like UBB and has a subscription?

its a subscription... MUCH cheaper than UBB.
UBB now for a personal/hobbist board is now $249 for a non expiring license -- and you have to pay them $$ each year to access the member's section (its over $100). Personally I think its a rip off!
But with VB, a leased license is $85 and then at the end of the license term, you have to pay another $85 or purchase a license. An Owned license is $160 and you only have to pay $30 per year afterwards.

If you want a good board, buy a vBulletin license.
UBB v6 is a total server hog and and has about 4 times the amount of files/disk usage than the v5.xx ever did.
That's my piece... :)

And if you want a descent board, get a free legal copy of phpBB! :)
Take into your considerations before buying an expensive board, if you are going to use all those functions. Do you really need all of them?
Also, do you really need them all for a small board with a few hundred people visiting? (low traffic website)
Do you really need to spend $100+ on a board when you can get a similar version for free?
No, well that's my answer... I'll leave yours up to you! ;)

Similar yes, but I've looked at both and it really depends what you are planning to use the board for. If it is for your personal site or a relaxed forum for fun, etc., then phpbb is fine (better than fine really).
It lacks administrative functions that I couldn't live without. I wouldn't run a board like this with phpbb nor WebHostingTalk.com.
Future versions of phpbb might address some of the issues, but I'm talking about right now, not the future.
