I thought this would help out those people that wanted a forums, but didn't know which one was good. So vote for your favorite board and post some comments!

My favorite board is: I dunno they all look the same to me, but I like YaBB and vBulletin

I like miniBB (http://www.minibb.com/), and I detest any phpBB 2.x board that resembles the default layout.

phpbb2's ACP sucks, i would have to say when i used a free board, i used wbb > www.woltlab.de/en

All people need to do is browse the free ones here (http://www.freewebspace.net/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=23973) and make their own decisions ;) They can then do a search for the one that appeals to them.

But on boards, its on personal preference. I myself like phpbb2.

how are they forcing you? wbb1.x is still free and wbbmods.com can make it just as well funtion as wbb2

if you mean speed is important, wbb2 would be better then vb
and vB looks boring.

It is a matter of opinion but there are a couple things...wBB even when you have to pay for it is much cheaper the vB! vB is better, I have wBB and it is much different than vB MUCH MUCH different!

vB will always be the best. No doubt. True, WBB2 is nice but so what? They will always remain as a copy of vb, thanks to 1.x .

Excuse me? Could you please rephrase that? I don't quite understand what you are saying.

Anyway, if you are saying that phpBB 2.0 is the best, and everything else is a clone, then I feel sorry for you. It's more like the other way around. Everything else had had their design established firmly before phpBB 2.x came out and ripped all of their ideas.
