Damn, it looks like everything is turning paid.
Here's the email I recieved from BMB:
Dear Webmaster:

mailbox per month

Gee that don't give you much notice do they? At least Listbot gave us plenty of time to make alternative arrangements, when they dropped their free service.

I'm worried. Everyone.net has already suspended ad-supported email sign ups. When will they stop supporting existing accounts!!! I don't want to rebuild!!!

I just lost 437 accounts. BMB was the last free email service too, and there's certainly no way I can afford to pay for those accounts.
It probably will only be a matter of time before Everyone.net eliminates their existing accounts. It's only a matter of time before all free things are gone...

437!!!
I only have 312!! Do you just get staggerin traffic? Or does my domain really suck to most ppl?
Anyways there was a topic a while ago about scripts running free email accounts. Can you run those scripts out of a virtual account?

Probably in more ways than one. lol Nah... I really don't know.
About those free email scripts, yeah, you can run them from virtual accounts, but it'd cost you even more than just paying some place like BMB or Everyone.net
For example:
I have 437 accounts * 5 MB per account = 2185 MB (roughly 2 gigs of space). Not to mention all of the data-transfer. I just don't think it'd be worth it.

I have used OemMail before. It's only a free 30 day trial.
BMB was the last completely free one.

Wow, this is really starting to suck!
What are we going to do now? All those email places going down, 100,000 to 200,000 email addresses lost. People probably had a lot of important info in them too. *sighs* i'm pissed off.

Well it appears the accounts are still active currently. For how long though, I don't know.

Any service out there allow co-branding other then zzn? what i am looking for is one of those services that has a ton of domains and that is willing to let me co-brand with my logo or even frame it. After this, i dont think i want to use my own domain, i think it's lost all credibility.

the only ones left are co-branding like www.zzn.com ...
but having little notice to close down like that sucks.

Up until a few months ago I wanted to switch email hosts and then they all started wanting cash and I was glad I stayed put. I've got over 1700 email accounts through everyone.net and I keep hoping that I don't get an email from them telling me that I have to start paying. I remember what it was like when the free webpages I had through Excelland went bust. I lost hundreds of accounts and my traffic took a huge nosedive and I almost quit. Some sites are able to refocus on their other services but my site is advertised as a place to get free email and webspace. I have a forum but the people that come to my site view that as secondary. I'd be very surprised if I still have free email on my site this time next year.

I have about 17 accounts for my Everyone.net account. And I have sent messages telling people that I will not pay for it, so get your stuff outahere, but I don't think any actually use it anyways. But it is what I use...
