"A new rule by MasterCard could crimp online commerce by stopping merchants from accepting credit card payments through third parties, such as the popular PayPal, USA TODAY has learned."
Similar story on CNN.
Could affect a few.

Sorry Murat I just noticed your [add]. Did you actually read the URL that Aussie Hosts posted?
This could affect a lot of people who rely on third party services such as paypal.

I sure hope that doesn't get put into effect. I use PayPal all the time! I don't know if I could live without it. I'd have to get myself a Visa card ASAP.

I've read that 2checkout.com are negotiating (and now possibly winning in their quest for) an extension to the cut-off date.
I find it hard to believe they'd drop such a bombshell with so short notice. Our local aussie card processor is yet to get back to me about it, so I doubt they have even heard of this.
When the second largest CC company in the world plans to make a change that will affect millions, surely they'd throw a line out and get some feedback first.
Cheers
