Is it just my site or has anyone else noticed that f2s.com is getting slower these days. My board at f2s.com was faster (using phpbb) before but now it is so slow. And I have not even make my forum public yet because I am still designing my webpage. I was happy with f2s before but now it is disappointing. Any other good FWP around with NO ads and MySQL/php capability? http://ms-network.net is still going through some renovation but I hope this one would be better.

f2s sometimes is slow, but also very fast, incredible fast. I won't critizize speed, but down times.
Another fwp without ads - a good question.
Digitalrice is down again and I've never seen my uploaded files to saxen.net online. IMO kyd is a little bit better than digitalrice, but has a lot of downs too and I am still waiting, that my datablock account is activated.

I've noticed that the page on their servers that I have been using as a startup page (with links and mail login forms, etc) has been taking longer to download lately.
My new opinion (which I should have learned a long time ago) is this:
You want speed, get a host with ads, or pay for it (which I am looking into doing right at this moment).
By the way, it's only about 11k, and it's been taking at least 30 seconds (on my 56k) as of late.

Well, f2s is working quite fast now for me. Pages are loading within a second or two. I've heard they installed another 100megabit pipe to the internet for the webservers. I'm getting about 100k/sec upload speeds right now, and have yet to clock the downloads.

F2S is slower for me, but that's probably because I live in North America. The signal has to move over the Atlantic Ocean and that makes it slower. Europeans will get faster speed. I'm pretty sure it's slower for them too, but they don't notice it much because it's still quite fast.

really, really fast - for me. It's faster than it was before.

I've been having that problem, too. I recently signed up for an account with them, and I could never log into FTP
