An Argentinian judge has ruled that the law in his country covers crime against people, things and animals but not web sites.
The ruling was delivered following the trial of a group of people - calling themselves the X-Team - hacked into the web site of the Supreme Court and modified the content within. The group on trial was declared not guilty of breaking into the web site.
Argentinian court rulings do not set legal precedent and so another judge could issue a different ruling in a new, similar case.
This was reportedly the first case concerning computer hacking in Argentina.
