Another question regarding phpBB

HAS ANYONE EVER INSTALLED A phpBB forum? I don't know anything about mySQL and I was wondering if anyone could tell me what I should do.

Here is a link to a Screen shot (http://server3.alwayswebhosting.com/~lapraslagoon.net/installscreen.gif) of the fields. What is in the fields is not very important that is just what I guessed might go in.





I put this in the CGI / PHP / ASP Help section because the program phpBB is written in php.

You have to open the window in new browser.

Okay.

First is :

Servername: Most likely. "localhost"
Database Name: Your Mysql DATABASE name NOT username/password.
username: the one you get in with phpmyadmin
password: password to get in phpmyadmin if its installefd.
Prefix: leave it as it is.

Yes, I've installed phpBB many times.

Since you link doesn't work, what exactly is your question?

Sorry I just fixed the link. I had to shrink it a lot to get it to work.

It's basicly your mysql info thats all. Nothing more. No knowledge needed.

you have to make a database and give it a name, then a user with a password...

then you put the database name, user and password into that form...
