Man, I am reading the two towers right now and I can't seem to put the book down. So how many of you have read them and liked them, please don't give details though, I am only about half way through "the two towers" so don't ruin it it is the best book I have ever read yet

I read 'em all...didn't like any of them...well, the first one was alright...it's just not my style of book.

I could have borrowed the book from the friend and read the whole trilogy.
However, i don't want to ruin the film(2nd one) so I elect not to read the book.
I will do it after I see the movie

I think that is why I am reading it, most "readers" will say that it is better to read the book before you see the movie. I love reading it is so cool to think that you can create anything in your mind.

I've read them all. The Two Towers was my favorite. I found The Return of the King to be a let down, it was no where near the first two. I've read the prequel, The Hobbit, too. I've never read any of those spin-off books, though. Just the reals ones.
Not reading the book so as not to spoil the movie... that's a strange reversal of how most people think.

I have a book called "Bored of the Rings"...it's a parody of the Lord of the Rings...and it's hilarious.
...even though this tale is only one book, instead of three, it is still a long and perillous journey...

It's not too popular. My sister's fiancee found it in a bookstore and knowing I wasn't a big Lord of the Rings fan, thought I would like it, so they got it for my birthday. It's written by the guys who created National Lampoon's. They wrote it while they were still in university, and it got re-released in hard cover after the Lord of the Rings movie came out.
