I esp. like you menu. Good use of flash. It doesn't appear to be redunant motion like most flash buttons. But, could you also improve the appearance of those buttons? White squares-- not great.
The read and black shared border area. It looks dirty. The overall design is also uncomplicated. That wouldn't be a bad thing if it seemed like you were trying to make a plain site. But, I guess you weren't with the unusual shape. So could you try to overload it with bg images and images overloaded with filter tricks?

on my big res, your logo repeats itself

i have 800x600 so the logo looks fine...

how could I avoid white transitions in the "principal" frame between page to page loading? It´s dumb but I´m not figuring it out
