Has anyone tried reporting.net? I have had both gator ($1 for anyone that joins)and pogo.com (.50 for anyone that joins)on my main page and have registered about 1000 impressions for both with no revenue. Are my expectations to high? Since these are both free services, I would think at over 1000 impressions someone would have downloaded gator or played pogo. Since I am new at this (4 months now) I am interested in knowing what the experts (U guys) think.
I have however showed income from my lygos links (also through reporting net).
Thanks
Steven

Thanks for the flattery *blushes*,
First of 1000 impressions isn't a large amount of visitors, I know this is daunting at first but you need that amount weekly to make any descent profits...
I think you'll find the target of your website and the banners do not match, a pogo "Let's play a game" ad and a old english primrose title do not.
But there is hope, I'd think about changing to another sponser like cj.com for buying books on poetry, and maybe some of their other programs.
On another note, I don't think the lycos box "for Kids" fits in either, think about who your target audience is, I'm guessing it's older than that. If not, you might want to consider a website redesign.
I'd strongly reccomend the following sponsors;
http://www.cj.com/
http://www.searchtraffic.com/
And I'd consider the following;
http://www.valueclick.com/ (Need more traffic)
http://www.reporting.net/
http://www.pokertraffic.com (Mature, and 3-7c a click!)
Make Money from your Website! (http://www.djcl.com/pe/webmaster/mmoney.htm)
Hope that helps,
