It's a VISA DEBIT card

Most places will take them as long as they have a Expiration date and the correct length of numbers. Don't quote me on that though.

I have in fact rented a car on a Master Card Debit Card because I didn't tell them the difference and they didn't ask. :D ;)

as long as your card has visa/mastercard logo on it, you can use it as a credit card. it acts the same as credit card with some minor differences.

Ditto.

Why not just try it at your favorite host? If it works, you will know right away, otherwise it will give you a declined/error message.

If it has an MC/VISA logo, it can be used anywhere that a regular MC or VISA can be. Just make sure to have enough money in your account first! :)

since it is a 'visa' debit card, like they said it should work anywhere...

I have never used a credit card, only my moms debit card, I use it all the time, for everything I order online and I have never had a problem! If it says visa or mastercard it should work wherever they accept them :)

That is not correct.
If a card has Visa Electron printed on it, it can't be used for customer not present transactions (online or mail order)

As long as the ducatz are in the account the online merchant won't know the difference :D

But their merchant account will reject the card.
Unless they are using a non internet merchant ID which they should not be doing.

What are U talking about? I use my card on the net daily. It is not a credit card and I have been using it for years :(

I was reffering to Visa Electron card only.
Not other debit cards.

Visa Electron is mainly issued in the UK.

Some sites accept them but if they get caught by their bank they will be in trouble.

Electron is only authorised for customer present transactions with a signature.
In return, the retailers get a lower commission fee.

Visa Delta and other Visa debit cards can be used on the internet.

He did not ask for any hosts to make an offer, he just wanted to know of hosts that use debit cards, and you are not the only one all hosts do. So don't spam

Did not mean to spam

BULL CRAP you did not mean to, look at you you are going to every thread and posting your stupid rip-off plans. All hosts can take a debit card as long as there is a credit-card symbol on it

it's all in how you enter it.
say your at a gas station, there you may have an option (if they accept atm/debit cards) to use it as a debit card, and enter your pin, or as a visa/MC/whatever, and have to sign a credit card reciept.
depending on how you use it, will dictate how you are billed, and how they run the transaction.
9 times out of 10 if it has a logo on it such as visa, mastercard, it will work just fine as one.
just remember to get all the digits, and the exp date.
also make sure you have enough of a balance to cover the purchase.

people that say it is not possible to use these like this are generally foolish, as almost all retailers (online and offline) will accept them like this,
THATS WHAT THEY ARE DESIGNED FOR DAMNIT!

so try it, the worst that can happen is it is denied, big deal.
try again later with your real credit card (which usually suck, they charge such insane rates these days.)
