I can't really decide if this latest truce was good or bad?

Will it bring peace? I am doubtful. Ending the siege on Yassir Arafat may help the situation slightly, but Arafat has got to act.

I saw this earlier today ( I get Israeli TV via satalite). Sharon made it clear that if he didn't pull out it would be a quote "Catastrophe". I believe it won't help. He'll just finance more of em. I don't understand it. If America can get the taliban, why cant israel get them!!!

Well I dunno... Israel needs to survive though.

My dad knows that Arafat has long been a terrorist. Arafat is the father of terrorism and my dad knows this when he was my age. It was all Arafat did in the 60s and 70s. Terrorize. Now he must crack down on terrorism. Umm... how likely is that?

True, and that has been a fact since the beginning of organized religion.

I don't believe this is over religion as much as it is over security. Israel has gone secular since it's creation, while the palestinians still believe in "Jihad against the infidels".
