Yup, they are pretty rare...
When did you start up? A lot of FWP start off with tons of free services, but then realize that this is too much for then to handle... I like your idea of limiting your users to people with a lot of hits...it will take care of a lot of casual web builders that take up space with 'nothing' sites...
Anyway, hope to see you do well...time will tell I guess :)

Looks a lot like SPAM to me! What an amazing coincidence that you seem to offer those exact things. You'll last 2 weeks just like the rest of them I'm sure.

@Gcites:
You have a great really service - cgi-bin, no ads, .... - but why do want that the sites have more than 5000 hits a day :( :confused:

It's a good and easy way to avoid illegal content, and if you ever have to place banners to support the services, you know that you will at least get some revenue from the users instead of bandwidth wasting leeches with sites that pull hardly any traffic.

The limit isnt because i want to make revenue. I limit it so i dont have people just storing files on my servers etc.. as it says *quality freehosting for quality sites*

what about quality sites that don't get 5000 visitors per day?

I might be changing that maybe 3000-5000 hits per day.
Damn that news from moreover is loading really slow lol.
Look at this http://www.t35.com - has the same moreover news on it (loads slow)
http://www.gcites.com - has the same moreover news on it 2 (loads slow)

Gcities - You will learn the hard way i guess. You won't survive without no money. Where you going to make money for this?. As you say it's a hobby when you realise you can be spending your part time wage on beer and things like that you'll soon shut up shop.

Yeah, they transferred all their users to the now dead http://www.host50.com . Host50 had less features than GCities, and now all users are redirected to SSIHOST. Which has even less features than Host50. It's not long before they're all redirected to hosting on my 56k modem. ;)
