hi,
guess this is a beginner question.
i would like to get a domain name and forward it to an existing web-space (e.g the one at my university; that's banner free:-)
but i want to forward it, that the web-adress stays my domain-name. i think this is frame forwarding.
BUT now something more tricky: I want that my meta-tags of the page can be seen, too (for search engines).
Is this possible? and how....
or do I have to get a web-space with a own dns or ip???
And something else: how can my visitors see the name of the actual page, after my domain name, too?
like http://www.test.com/test.html
(when they surf there from http://www.test.com/)
Thanks in advance.

Hello
To get the metatags you need to use a forwarding service that includes them.
I think mydomain.com does on their free service but zoneedit.com doesn't.

As for the /filename that would be path forwarding which is not very common. I know one company in the UK that does it but most people would rather go for a proper hosting account as they can be very cheap if you just want a small amount of space.

We offer the frame redirection with meta tag support and evn offer path forwarding too :) Go to http://jwdx.com and click the live help button and I'll get right to you on how to get everything set up. I used to have a page on it, but as of last week, centralinfo no longer accepts sites, so it wont work. I can get you set up with another service though, so no biggie :) I look forward to talking with you. If you catch me while im not there, please email me at the address it asks you to leave a message at.
