Thank goodness for that.... ;)

But it did piss off Brazil for some awfully funny things it stated about Rio...

Woohoo! That's my favorite show!
But people need to lighten up... If there is some group that The Simpsons hasn't poked fun at, it's only because they haven't gotten around to it yet.
Learn to laugh at yourself.

Rio was pretty pissed off though.... I mean I don't mind watching that one episode and found it quite funny... but hey they made fun of the Australians before too... you don't see them complaining. :biggrin2:

It was so funny... Bart made a bunch of long distance phone calls to some Australian caused a very large phone bill, and was forced to go over to Australia and face a court trial. In the end he was at the US embassy inside and turned around and started mooning all of the Aussies who then overran the embassy grounds... not mention he also released a frog that eat everything in the country.... I remember that episiode.

:biggrin2: :biggrin2:

Frog? That's a funny name. I'd call it a Chazzwazza!

And it retains its ability to cause upset. When a recent episode depicted Rio de Janeiro as teeming with rats, monkeys and street crime, Brazilian tourist officials were outraged and the show's executive producer was forced to apologize.

omfg, grow up? How lame. "Oh no, somebody made a joke about our country! Let's go have a cry!"

Maybe the Brazilian tourist officials will make it in a future episode? :D

I'm just waiting for either South Park (much better now that they deal with issues and not just little kids cursing) or Simpsons to do Israel. I hope I see that ephisode.

I remember when the Simpsons came to Canada, and Marge was like "It's so clean, so bland! I'm home!"

I love how Americans always try and depict Toronto as clean. I would like to know what you define clean as.

In any case, the Simpsons still rule.

CRAP!!!!!! CRAP!!!!!!!!!!! I MISSED IT DAMNIT!!!! It was a re-run. Bart hooks up with Rainier Wolfcastle's daughter, but stands her up to go make fun of Principle Skinner doing his secret stand-up comedy act. Greta (her name) starts going out with Milhouse to spite Bart. Greta and Milhouse leave for Canada for the filming of Wolfcastle's movie (he plays an undercover nerd). Bart and entourage follow. Bart gets into a fight with Milhouse, Greta dumps both of them, then they join the Canadian olympic basketball team ("it's just that easy"/"Ooh, that was close. You can be center"). While it had its moments, over all it wasn't that great.

I only ever saw it once, and that was a few months ago...
