I was recently im Mexico in a small virtually touristless village. I was surprised to see an internet cafe. What was even funnier was that it was situated in a dirt floored palm leaf roofed sort of hut. At least the rates were reasonable.

It was the last thing i expected, and i felt i had to share the experience

it was satellite. im not sure if it was 2 way or not, if it was one way, i dont know what the upstream speed was. all i did was check my email.

No, No palm trees. aT least not inside anyways.
The way i remember it there was a cord hanging from the ceiling sporting a 15 into 1 jack on the end. the cords from the back of the computers ran straight up into this.

The computers didnt appear to be networked. I bet the salt air is real good for all the small parts and circuitry

Sorry. i guess when i posted in that 7 pager (is it 8 yet)? i forgot that when you change your sig it gets changed on all your previous posts too, not just the ones after the change.
