I d/l the program because Im running on a capped dsl line shared between 3 comps and the site I got the prog from said that this will tweak the registry so each comp cant d/l at more than a certain speed, now was wondering wat number do I put in and where + the other settings to make it so that a comp cant d/l at faster than 6kb/sec?

Since nobody has replied to your post yet. I would say go to dsl reports.com and look around in the tweak tester area there was a graph that told you what you should adjust it to for what speeds I'll post a link if I find it. Although Im not sure if what your doing is what Dr. TCP is for

EDIT> Ahh I found it here
http://www.dslreports.com/tweaks make sure you go to RWIN in the drop down box, and scroll down a little bit.

It just mods your registry to how much info gets through your nic

does it work?

For some, for me it doesn't because the only reason why my speed isn't any faster is because of my distance from the telco. But a lot of times it does.

So adjust it to a lower setting whatever would apply to the speed you want from the graph
