I have a bunch of domains that are coming up for renewal. I want to keep them with a Open SRC registrar. I know "000domains.com" is at $13.50. Also, is "weblaunching.net" with Open SRC?

Hello
As all Opensrs registrars pay $10 per name and have to cover credit card merchant commission you are unlikely to find any of them going below $13.
Also inter registrar transfers on Opensrs are not possible yet without manual intervention by Opensrs and they are advising their members not to do it until the automation software comes out in a few weeks.

Open SRC, no, but they do use Open SRS :)

Gordon... Any idea what "a few weeks" is? I can wait on moving some till late April. Thanks!
Also, Chicken... I can always count on you to keep me rolling.

Hi
They keep daying two weeks, but have been for the past two weeks.
Its all tied up with adding UK domain transfer facilities and I think they want to do it in one software release.

Thanks again Gordon... You should put some transfer information on your web site... it looks good to me.

Jimin, where are they registered now? -and how much? If I understand correctly, they are registered with an Open SRS registrar now, and you just want to move them to a cheaper Open SRS registrar, yes?

Chicken... I have two with registerfree, the ones that we got during their promotional period a year ago ($19.95 renewal). The next four are with DiscountDomainRegistry ($14.99 renewal). Since my post the other day I may be changing directions to RegisterFly ($9.95), an Enom register. I just moved a domain to them and I really like their DNS & forwarding control ability that is included (good for me since most of these are used as redirections). It seems very nice but I haven't read any other opinions on them.

I'm guessing you have to fax them, but I've moved a bunch to enom and it is painless aside from that. RegisterFly might have better luck than I have had contacting eNom but in general eNom's support is terrible. Many learned that from trying to contact them during the domainzero 'era' heh. That is the only thing bad I could say abot that. Price is surely right, and so long as everything is good, you shouldn't have a problem.
