OK, ME have two computers in my room. My own machine and my PEST"S machine!! For my computer, it can connect to my ISP.
BUT my pest computer cannot! I tried to format her computer, but same result!! Is not the network card problem because I tried to ping localhost or ping 127.0.0.1, it works ok! SO I think the network card is installed correctly. The problem is DHCP. It cannot connect to the DHCP server so cannot retrieve an IP Address from my ISP, Subnet mask, Gateway, etc etc.... so what do I do to solve the problem so that it can connect to the DHCP server? :normal2:

I'm assuming your using a broadband/ethernet connection, how do you have them networked if they are networked at all?

The two computers at my room is not connected to each other. My computer is connected to my cable modem then to my ISP.
I have to unplug the cable then plug that in to my pest's computer to connect to my ISP. In other words, I cannot test both computers at the same times because I do not have a router, switch or hub to connect the two computers together.
My computer can go online with no problem, but my pest computer cannot!!

Iam not sure.. but i think that when you ping 127.0.0.1 it pings the local computer .. so try pinging the computer name or if that deosnt work make sure that the computer cant connect has internet connection sharing disabled
