when buring mp3's on to audio cds to listen on your stereo, does it matter if some songs are 128 or 160 or 192kbps burned onto the same cd, will it effect the speed of the songs or anything? thanks i'm fairly new to cd burners.

I'm sure it affects the quality of the music. The higher the BitRate the better the quality & larger the file size.

Doesn't matter the birate the same length of song will take up the same time on a cd. However the higher birates sound better.

Higher bitrate songs are better quality, but dont go crazy looking for songs with really high ones. I say stick between 112 and 192kbps. an higher than that and you are wasting drive space and downloading time.Any less than that and you are noticably compromising the sound quality

If I was going to burn an MP3 to CD, I would get the 160kbps+ version. But then again, that's just me.

I think anything above 128 is good enough quality. It doesn't matter what bitrate it is because when you burn a cd, the fiel gets converted to raw audio format(wav).

thanks everyone, i'm trying to download an entire led zeppelin bootleg, unfortunatly some files are 128, 160 i wish they were all the same. will the difference be noticable once burned to cd? i also got one song that keeps changing from 160to128to192, its wierd.

This results in a better sounding MP3. As for different bitrates, I don't believe it will be very noticable.

Well I think that songs at 128k are the best quailty. Rock music or heavy metal need to be 160k cause if its 128 you won't hear any lyrics.
