I think that FWS should get a chat room! That would be cool. I culd solve all of my computer problems and questions! :D

If there was a chat room then there wouldn't be an archive of what everyone said. On the forums people can search past posts, etc. Also if there are about 40 members online I don't think a chat room would work with about 40 people in at once. Not to mention the amount of server resources that would be used as well.

Yeah, running an IRC chat for this site would be a major hassle.
There would be the need of having ops on the channel at all times to sort out any troubles. And that would just mean more work for FWS staff.
If you people wish to chat about topics similiar to ones discussed on here try joining #html and #webdesign on DalNet and EFNet IRC servers, as tehre tends to be many willing users online to help. :D

an IRC channel isn't a bad idea.
could you tell me the host / channel ?
so i could log in with a "normal" client :D

edit: i could also create a channel on quakenet with a bot, so channel overtakes wouldn't steal the channel
