Zero, and they're all in use, unless you mean my notebook, then two total, half in use.

I have 2 USB headends so theoretically I have 4 USB ports but since I haven't connected them using a connector I don't have any and don't use any.

I can put six on my motherboard but there are two built in. I really need a hub though. This is what I have that uses USB that I use often and I half to switch
My Recording sound card
My webcam
My digital cam
My printer
My Video capture device
and my joystick
I have used other things but those are what are constantly sharing my USB ports
EDIT> My motherboard can HANDLE six, but it only has two right now (just thought I would make myself more clear)

2 (which are standard).
I also have a USB Hub that allows me to plug in 4 more USB Devices, making it 6 in total.
I currently have a webcam, digital camera and my palm pilot craddle connected to my USB Ports.

I've never seen the need for a USB keyboard/mouse.

My two usb ports share the same channel so when I use my recording sound card I can only have that plugged in by itself or else it causes conflicts, so I stay away from them. I need a new mouse so bad though, it is a couple years old and it is probably the first microsoft 2 button mouse made, no scroll wheel :(. And a keyboard, my "B" button falls off sometimes when I press it and the space bar is broken so you have to press it really hard in just the right place.
