the last three host i have been with gave me exactly what i needed.

the last three host i have been with had cgi, php, 50+ megs of space, domain hosting(besides one but it was still cool), and ftp...

the last three host i have been with have closed.

i don't want to have to use hypermart because i don't want to risk getting my site shut down because it is not a business site and it will have a hopefully very active forum...

i may be being picky but why shouldn't i be?

no one wants their site to be messed up by a huge banner automatically placed at the top of every page...

no one wants to be limited to a certain amount of post on their forum...

no one wants to make their site to be not worth visiting by not being able to provide visitors with things that only perl and php can make possible...

is there any place on the net that is reliable? is there anywhere i can go where my site can be up for a long enough time(6 months at least) that i can make money and afford to pay for hosting?

Perl
50+ Megs
SSI(or php)
Not having to place a banner at the very top of every page... Maybe on the top of the main page and the bottom of the other ones that are not scripts...
No bandwidth limits or a high bandwidth limit...

When Netcabins goes up in 3 weeks, try using them. As they have all the features you have requested.

The only one I can thing of is Tripod (50 megs). But I don't think they have a full cgi feature.

The plus side is that I found Tripod is very fast. But there is banner on top of every page :-(

Honestly its hard to get a freewebhost with the specs u mentioned.

Hope this helps.

I don't think Tripod offers SSI nor PHP. Two things Omari wanted.

Hmm... Wierd, there are two options, one that's an Excelland reseller and another on their own server? That's new. Or is the second one a portland reseller with mixed up requirements?
