Firt off, I am not sure, if it is ethical of me to request what i am going to ask now. yet, I will go ahead with the request.

Okay, the thing is, i am planning for a forum on entrepreneurship and freelancing. For the forum, i would like to use vBulletin, unfortunately, i can't afford to buy the same.

Just incase, if any of have a vBulletin license, not being used ..could you just pass it on to me.

I am also not sure, what I can give back in return to you.?

I think re-selling vB or renting it out is illegal. BTW a good free script like Burning Board is also as good as vB. There are other options also, just check the sticky post in the free services forum.

1) Buy it
2) Lease it from VB
3) Use any other forum softwares.

It would be better if you had asked in the free services forum.

Actually, I neither was lease nor rent it from someone who has bought it...!

I want it for free, yes...I know it spossible, may be they are not using it after they bought it. hence my request there !

Does vB licence copy say, it can't even be Gifted, if it is illegal to rent or lease..??

i don't think anyone with a vbb license can give out (for free) or sell it totally legally. giving it out for free when you had to pay for it sounds stupid, and I selling it making profits for your own benifit isn't allowed because vb won't make a profit. They are also doing a search for sites that are using a pirated version of Vbb. Some people do give others a vbb license, i'm not sure if it's okay. anyways, your best option so far is to get a bulletin board close to Vbb (burning board). since this post is kinda not helping, i should at least end off with good luck.

I have read in a couple of forums, that friends and known ones, who have bought vB, and now not using it, have gifted to their friends, who might need it.

But then, i do agree, it can be Illegal, and i may have to fight vB legal battle if i get one gifted..!

Okay, Probably, i would want to go with a free board, atleast which has a template / style made much similiar to vB...!
