I got WinXP now and Norton Anti-virus 2001 doesn't work on it! I eMailed them and they said that you need to buy the new 2002 edition, but they have a nice little rebate if you have 2001, the guy gave me a link and it was a dead link!
Now I have to use McAfee, it is still alright but I would prefer Norton.

You do that too Mandrake? :p
I also use AVG now and have it set to update every 5 days. I was using McAfee until a virus on a webpage rendered it useless  I have tried to reinstall it but there is some bit missing. So I quickly got AVG downloaded and ran a full scan to make sure there were no nasties on my computer.

I went out and purchased Norton 2002 Systemworks for around $40 dollars. It's well worth it, it has everything I need and since I have a cable connection, it downloads and installs the updates everything 30 days for me, or when it needs to be updated.
I run Windows XP Pro and it runs great. Sure.. $40 dollars is a lot for an anti virus, but how much is your data really worth to you? A LOT more I would assume.
You can use 2001 on XP but you need to update a driver for it. I use 2001 on XP, but im gonna check out avg....

No, I looked into that also Ben. I downloaded the driver update, and it said "you don't have ______ installed on your system..." and then I need to go install it from the CD, and it says "Can only install on Windows 95/98" blah... I don't know why they even post a update driver download, it doesn't work, even the support said so.

AVG is an excellent free virus scanner.
Has caught every virus/trojan that has came through on email and Usenet, which is only a small amount....
