The funny thing is, we're learning about a famous trial regarding Evolution in school. Has any of you heard about the Scopes Monkey Trial? With two famous laywers, Clarence Darrow and William Jennings Bryan?

If we would just follow the rules of ergonomics (sit up straight, don't slouch), all this wouldn't happen!
Darn, I'm talking like a mother.

Evolution is a bunch of BS.

You know, that "article" was completely biased against the theory of evolution. Personally, I take that article as an opinion and not as the word of truth. One could also whip up an article on how Darwinism has helped us.

Yeah, helped us by giving us Hemophilia, Sickle cell, anemia, Cystic fibrosis, Down's Syndrome, Sterility and Death.

That article reeks of christian propaganda to me! :)

I assume your more accustomed to getting your news from liberal biased news programs then?

I too believe in God, but that article is an opinion. And should be treated as such. Stuffing this down our throats is just inappropriate.

No one is "stuffing it down your throat". Besides, they credited many accomplished scientists.

http://wnd.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=21776 If you don't called that "stuffing it down our throats," I don't know what else it could be. It doesn't say anything about you expressing your opinion, just a short sentence trying force us to think that Evolution is BS.

Oh, that. I thought you were referring to the general tone of the article.

Anyway, how do you think I like having it shoved down my throat everyday at school? Everyday in the media? And just about everywhere else? It's unrelenting. There is no more proof in favor of evolution then there is creationism.

Anyway... How about we stop this arguement? I don't want to waste forum space on a tiny little quirrel. Let's just say that both sides have had done both rights and wrongs. So it's even. Truce?

Hey... wasn't this thread supposed to be about EVOLUTION?? Why has it become a discussion over religion? ;)

Gee... finally ended.. ^^

Yeah, I didn't want to add another flame thread to the forums.

Actually, it hasn't ended yet, as syanet hasn't replied yet. I hope (and think) that he will.

Fine it's over. I've been pre-cooupied by a thread of a similar topic on another board this has grown to over 100 responses :).

Sickle cell actually does some good. It protects against malaria. 40% of those who are of african descent have sickle cell anemia. 2% of caucasians have it and they cant handle malaria as well.

Just thought you might want to know. I can explain why if you want
