Anyone know where I can download some of them aim profile.. or place where they have tuts on how to write one or something like that?

they are pretty easy to do, but you gotta edit the profile in manual, via a text editor...


and the web page you link to has to have no images and not any graphics / intense code (tables, ect)

I know that in Win2k, the location of the AIM profile HTML doc is @ C:\Documents and Settings\[user]\Application Data\Aim\[screen_name]\info.htm

9x should be somewhat similar.

can you use a guestbook in AIM, or does it have to open a web browser

You can (inside the profile window) if the content is only text. Make a link to a gb with the target being "_self" in the info.htm file.

Hmm...but you can you have JavaScript in an AIM window? If so, then make a popup and have it refresh the profile window after you're done submitting.


Profile code is just basic HTML. The AIM browser only allows for color and text changes, and links.
