some thing like at http://www.albarealm.com that shows the results on the same page as the voting and if you already voted it just shows the results...any suggestions?

Go to hotscripts.com and search for AVB. Very easy to install and lots of features

I know you said a script, but just in case...
We have a platform for creating interactive web sites. It is developed on top of Zope/Python and is object oriented. One of the cool things you can do on our platform is attach ratings & comments to any user contributed content. Content could be in the form of a forum post, article, link, picture, or whatever. This is really cool, because you give visitors to your site a way to contribute at almost every place they visit within your site.
We also have a survey plug-in application for running surveys on your site. Surveys can be inserted as "blips" (a blip is a snippet of application content) on the site home page, and after someone has answered the survey they only see the results of the survey when they return. Comments and ratings can also be attached to survey questions.
