what are good (ones that you would recommend) cpa/cpl programs? i'd like one that does not require you to put a banner/pop-up. for example, if i were to sell tickets, in the news section i would put an announcement that nba tickets were selling, and when they click and buy, i get credit. i don't want to take up space, that's why.

(example: launch.com; they didn't put any buttons to sell cds, instead, when a user searchs for an artist, it shows who is selling the cds at the bottom, and when the user clicks on it and buys something, launch.com gets credit)

We have run just about every type of affiliate program there is, and we tend to stick with just a few companies that do well for us (have a good product and pay on time.)

When NetDective came out, we made a killing with it. Now what seems to be hot are the DVD copy programs & cell phone antenna boosters. These two are for DVD stuff:
www.spicycomet.com
www.netsource101.com

I forget the booster one off hand. Hope this helps. If you're looking for ad networks to buy your popups, we works with quite a few that are really good. Just let me know.

T(wisted)humor: You made a killing with those two sites as affiliates or because you are representing RankYou.com and own them? ;)

I'm sure your programs are nice - but spamming/misrepresenting on a bunch of webmaster boards isn't too cool ;)

btw let me know if you need the url to the booster program or your ad network ;)

Oh well :)

Not true. The programs sell well. SpyDetect also does well although not as well because NetDetective took so much of that market, and other than promoting it, we have no affiliating with it.

For Run of Network, you want a product that has mass appeal. A good example is a new P2P program (like KaZaA) that is about to be released from a company in Europe that pays per install. Although we have not tested this campaign out (we have been contacted) it seems like a winner already because people want to use these types of programs.

We run about 8 different products, but only half do exceptionally well.

Perhaps some people who sign up and try it will comment on the effetiveness and put this attack to sleep.

I would also highly recommend NetCreations.com for any company who has not done so. When we first did this, it doubled our monthly revenues without having to increase our traffic. They are owned by a large Italian company and have always paid well.

I'm not doubting whether your programs convert or not. (I haven't tried them, but they look interesting). I only commented on your marketing strategies on the boards. But I'm done pointing fingers now. :)

Thanks Knut. Apparently the approach taken was not the mildest way to do it.

As for the cell phone booster program you referred to above, that program actually does well. We don't really have an affiliate program for it, but do have some partnerships with a few sites and even run the offer on yahoo.com. It does pretty well if on the right site. It pays 5 cents for any person who fills out the form on where to mail the free cell phone antenna booster, and then it also pays an additional $1.00 for every cell booster that gets shipped out.

We send out about 20,000 of these every month (that's a real number.)
