Did you just install a new image program? If you did, that usually takes over as default. If you want Image Preview to be default, you will need to reinstall it.

I used PSP3.

Anyway it's solved now but then I reinstalled GIF extension and now in the thumbnail only the gif icon appears :( How to fix this?

Right click a image...

Open with
Select the program
Select always open using this program
I believe it is on all OS's but it is a little different on each

Usually if it's already associated with something you have to hold down shift when right-clicking to get the "Open With" option.

I don't know where the "hold shift" thing came from, of course the icon will change, it uses whatever icon the default software assigns

I don't know where the "hold shift" thing came fromIn every other Windows operating system except ME and XP (I knew about ME's odd open with submenu. Never touched XP, is it like that?), if the file is already associated with a program there will be no "Open With" option in the context menu (by default at least, you can change that). To get that option, before right-clicking you've got to hold down the shift key.

Hmm I did not know that you don't have to do that in 2000 and in XP it will allow to do it without shift
