Auto-Redirection to different servers

I am looking for a free service that redirects to another host (FWP), when the 1st is down. I am not sure if http://www.redir.as/ could be used for this.

You could have a gateway page(enterance page) listing the usual FWP and a mirror url. so if one is down they can use the other.

c4.to offers the possibility to specify more than one URL. Your c4.to subdomain will then randomly select one to redirect to.

Is it random selection only? I think about redirection to an ad-free FWP and if this server is down it should be redirected to a FWP with ads.

BTW I registered at redir.as in the meantime and it seems to work fine. Redirection in the defined order or randomly.

If you go to a cgi resource page ( http://cgi.resourceindex.com ) and have a look around you will find them. They come in any flavours i believe.
