Well let's say u r talking to a friend using one of those VO IP programs. How would u do if u want to grab all the conversation u r having with him or her?I heard that there is some programs that grab streaming sound directly from the sound card and to ur hard drive!!correct me!
Does anyone knows abt a program that could do the job?

ooo this is kinda funny.

First off, audio that your sound card's microphone input can be recorded with any version of windows, it is called sound recorder you can record at whatever quality you want with that. Though the basic sound cards these days like sb lives and stuff are 16bit 44.1khz and sometimes 48khz which is cd quality.
Anyway if you are looking for serious professional audio recording that makes it sound good look for these programs
Pro Tools
Cubase
Logic Audio
Cakewalk Software
Cool edit

Now that software ranges from $100-$10,000 but umm I Think you are looking for a simple solution so just plug a mic into your sound card and record with Windows Sound recorder

48KHz isn't CD quality. 44.1KHz is.

That's what I meant.
the bit depth can vary though

And for windows media recorder there are a few things, you can change the format it records in, but there is no equalizer. And if you didn't like the quality there is a good chance it isn't because of the recorded but your sound card
