Alright guys, who do you think is gonna win the NBA finals?
I think it's lakers! :biggrin2:

I hate the Lakers, and I'd like to run over Shaq with my car, but i think they'll win.

Lakers win 4-2... (Another one of my lousy predictions... :D)

Lakers, obviously.

This was an interesting wager I was reading in an article:

California Gov. Gray Davis has placed his bet, promising New Jersey counterpart Jim McGreevey a case of California wine, locally grown artichokes, avocados and strawberries, a CD of Randy Newman's ``I Love L.A.'' and two tickets to Disneyland if the Nets beat the Lakers.

McGreevey countered with a bet of a bushel of New Jersey corn and tomatoes, and a weekend on the New Jersey Shore for Davis if the Lakers win.

I am rooting for the Nets, but I think the Lakers will pull it out, and I wouldn't be suprised to see a sweep. New Jersey has not impressed me whatsoever.

New Jersey hasn't impressed you??? What about Kidd and all those triple doubles?

New Jersey hasn't impressed me either; Kidd has exceeded my expectations by a bit, but New Jersey--minus Kidd--is nothing at all.

Well, I should have said compared to the Lakers. I don't really think the Nets have a chance.

Kidd has impressed me, but he has always been good. I guess that loss after a huge lead in the 4th quarter is still sticking in my mind. As a team though, they look like nothing compared to the Lakers. And that is hard for me to say, as I am pulling for the Nets.

I don't really see the Lakers as a team. Don't get me wrong, they'll still win, but it's the Kobe and Shaq show. Goddamn, do I wanna hurt Shaq. Hey guys, I can jump 3 inches to put a ball in a basket, that makes me one hell of a rapper, right?

Do you even watch basketball? There are so many players on the Lakers that step up consistently. Their role players help them win quite a few important games. If you're comparing them to the Nets, the Nets don't have a true star player except for Jason Kidd and the only way they can win games is by using a lot of teamwork mainly because there is no one on that team that can score 30 or 40 points a game for them. The Lakers do, that's why they don't need other players to score a lot of points for them.

It's true though. And yes, I do watch basketball, but only with mild interest. But I mean, the Lakers wouldn't be anywhere without Kobe and Shaq and you know it. Robert Horry can only do so much.

As far as Shaq rapping, I think my point is pretty valid.

Well, they won tonight. I thought early on it had the makings of a blowout, but it settled down.
