That's perl...
AND you do not have the correct path to your perl... the first line shouldn't be #!/usr/bin/perl
It should be #!path_to_your_perl_dot_exe
AND you need print "Content-Type: text/html\n\n"; before using the print statment or else you get "Internal Server Error"; unless you run the script via telnet or SSH.

perl not equal to cgi?
the path is correct i think...
the important point is how to set all(cgi, asp, php, mysql, js) up in my computer. so i can test scripts later.
yupapa r u chinese? your pic looks like a HK singer... hehe :P

cgi is common gateway interchange which isn't perl. there are many cgi languages
How amazing it is that you want to learn all these at once.....
By the way do you know there is a difference between JS and all other (perl,ASP,PHP).
In fact JS is client side javascripting and otherws are in the category called ---Server Side Scripting---
You do not need anything special for JS you just need a browser and thats all both Netscape and IE support it.Just write it in your HTML by placing <script> tag...
I have never set others on a pc so i cannot help you for others but possibly all instructions would be given in help files try to read them...

can you get perl running then??? Where is your perl.exe file located? Do you know which directory you installed Perl?
The exe file should be here: DRIVE:\Path_to_Active_Perl\Bin\Perl.exe

Yep, JS works in any regular HTML document.

Your should check each browser's javascript compatibility because some browser may not support some syntaxes.
