thisis just an idea, but this is what i do at my forum..

Reason to disbale replying to others thread is to keep negitive comments and such out and spam out, making it so they have to reply by email or PM.


I have disabled replying to your own thread to keep authors from bumping their own post, please edit your thread if needed.

In a way I agree, but if we just delete negative posts, people should get the message. It has eased up a lot since I threatened to delete posts a few weeks back :devious2:

They are ads and offers, they don't need people knocking their service.

eh, usally if alot of people like an idea they do something, so if someone made a suggusting here and they cant reply how will they know if it should be done

This is the worst idea I've seen. You say the author can edit their own thread, but it doesn't reflect the moments when they say different things. They can't be recording the times they say this, and say that!
