i have advertised on the forum, told friends, search engines... what else

link exchange is the only way or popup traffic swap... u will get 50% of the traffic back..

won't get you much hits.. probably only 10 and that ti.. you wont see hits from that forum again

I don't know why, but there is something about your domain name that lead me to assume that you must have a popular site. - I guess its because the name sounds kinda cool. (a cool nerd site, is that an oxy-moron?)



Anyway,

Banner Exchanges are almost worthless, even the targeted ones. I use a banner exchange from Bpath simply because I have nothing else to do with my banner space. But you shouldn't rely or focus on banner exhanges.

You should have a links page so that you can exchange links with other sites (In order to improve your link popularity and search engine ranking)

It doesn't matter how popular a site is or how descriptive your link description appears, you just need to get people linking to your site.

You also might wanna try optimizing site by changing your title to include more keywords.

What do you think makes your site unique? A slogan or tag line would also help make your signature files and search engine listings more appealing.

Just from having my URL as my sig I have had over 100 unique visitors in the past week.

100 a week is nothing.. i get 100 a just from 1 topsite.
