Has anyone else had problems with Elitecities-like popups or anything?

I had a problem with not being able to access my site. A typed the correct URL, and a blank page up and so did a pop up. I checked the source, it had a frameset. My actual files were in a subdirectory "/_/". So I tried finding my HTML files there, and still a blank page. Don't think there was a way to access my files.

Mine did that, too, even when I had a ---------- address. They won't answer my emails, either.

They would be pretty good, too, if they could work or at least return my email!

If someone offers something that is too good to be true. It usually has no customer service. Same applies with no-ads Freewebhosts.
