I was just wondering if it would be worth adding a rule for people that come to fws looking for support? For instance, you can only ask for support with paid hosting if the following conditions are met:

1. You have sent email to your web host and have not reveived a response with in XX hours.
2. You have posted to XX web hosts support forum ( if available ) and have not received a responce within XX amount of time and can provide a url to your post.

I don't know if its just me but it seems as though FWS is being used as a means of support and presales questions, that should be directed to the company of interest. Its understandable if the individual is looking for people with experience with the company, I think this is one of the reasons the paid hosting forum exists.

I have no beef with any of the hosts at all. Its just that I see this more and more each visit to FWS is all, and I notice a lot of people getting "forum rage" at the posters, and it makes it not such a happy place to be at times.

Anywho, just my 2 cents.

It's a nice concept, but it'd be hard to implement. For this to work you'd have to be able to monitor all the actions of the users. I don't have to tell you what a bad idea that is.

I agree with Haze, I don't know how many times it has been suggested that the enquiry be emailed to the host, or the URL of that host's support forums given, but it is just ignored each time. There is one thread in particular where the support forums has been mentioned three times, and still he comes back here to ask questions
