Try http://www.homepagetools.com they offer free remotely hosted Ultraboards.

For speed and ease of use, try http://www.bravenet.com. It's free, offers lots of services with one account, and their forums are easy to use - easily customizable, and they have a much neater layout than other message board hosts. (It's called a forum, in Bravenet.) Plus, their support is excellent - forums for help, and those generally get the job done.

I don't know how well they are now, but back in the days when I used remotely hosted everything, bravenet was sloooooow and down several times a week. Plus they were loaded with ads. If you need multiple forum-type message board, homepagetools.com is nice, or for the traditional threaded message board, I like proboards.com

Other free services include coolboard.com (or
was it coolboards.com?) and delphi.com.
Lots more around, I think...

The homepagetools one is good, but it is missing one thing. You can't change the member ranks like junior member, senior member and such. That is the only thing it doesn't have that I would like. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I looked around in the admin system and found no way to change these.

Yeah, I couldn't find it either. However, I just re-read the first post and he was looking for a threaded message board. None of the replys (I think) had a threaded message board.
