I'd have to say its the best place to host your open source porjects, as the speed is awesome most of the time.

try to get into sunsite.dk first, there speed is amazing it beats sourceforge but sourceforge has all the fancy project tuff

i browse their pages quite frequently, and never had any trouble with anyones pages on there, in addition to hosting, it's hosting into the right community.
