I just got a computer from a friend and I had to delete everything, including all partitions.

It has no CD-ROM drive, and I want to install a small OS on it.

From the beginning, how do I set the computer up? Eg..Setting up partitons, up to (and including) setting up an OS.

ummm, well, I'd suggest putt'n fdisk.exe on a floppy disk, then running it off of the disk, making a new partition. Then running a startup disk for w/e OS u plan to install. You might wanna get a CD rom if u intend to install a OS like windows95/98/etc

Actually, Windows 95 fits on 15 floppies... you used to be able to buy it in stores like that, but I don't think you can now.

yeah, get a cd-rom drive, it takes about 50 times less time to insall an OS.
