Desperate...very desperate...

I would do anything for a host with these features:

Should have:
-CGI/Pearl
-FTP
-at least 20MB
-hotlinking

Shouldn't have:
-banners
-popups

Am i dreaming or could somebody actually direct me to such a host?

I code my own CGI scripts and im making a member script for instant messaging, chatrooms, profiles, control centers, i have it all made. But i need a pearl enabled server without ads or it will mess up the script. Please let me not be dreaming...

Hmm, www.4gigs.com has text links. That might be somewhat easy to add to your script. I dont know tho, as i do not know how to program my own scripts.

That's cobranded using the Genesis We Authoring System,a nd ive learned the hard way to not trust those poor excuses for hosts. I can try PHP50... let me look into it...

Has anybody have had bad experiences with 4gig.com... i read their features and it seemed to good to be true, anyone?

EDIT: Is PHP50 a good host, either... they seem perfect for my .cgi scripts.

im trying PHP50 first, since its 50MB, and only a tuck under popup, then ill try 4gigs.com

If they both backfire, i don't know what ill do. 50mb having all that scripting support is a big plus, though...

why not you try for the 4gigs host? it's seem could support PHP and more. you try to register for an account, see whether the confirmation mail have send to your mailbox. if yes, pls inform me ok ?

im not using them, why? They only accept 15 accounts/day plus when you make it, you must wait another full 36 hours if you get accepted... that pretty bad.

I have used both php50 and 4gigs. I found that php50 is a pain cuz they offer ftp but if you read the forum it is not yet available. Its been like this for months :(

4gigs is pretty good hosting. I got an account there and do not really use it, if I can find/remember what the password and username was, I can give you that account Nintendo Statio
